Mother’s Day Gift Guide

With Mother’s Day soon approaching gift guides are filling up my Instagram feed. I thought I would add to the mix and throw in some of my ideas as well. While these are not all things I own, I wouldn’t mind receiving them myself (hint, hint, Babe…). The fact that our children are not in school and “homemade” gifts will not be presenting themselves on Mother’s Day morning, means that dads and kids alike will find these gift guides even more useful this year.

Ok, let’s talk about it. I’m concerned about it, you asked, and I will answer. Let’s talk about sex. Not the usual stuff like “10 ways to turn on your man”, I think the magazine rack has plenty of options for you in that regard. No, let’s talk about coming home from the hospital at 38 with a baby in tow, and noticing your sex drive has taken a nosedive. Let’s talk about the fact that I also felt that way at 30, and at 26. Or maybe we can talk about my total lack of a period for nearly a decade.

Divorce

Divorce is such a broad topic. The truth is my divorce looks different than all others because it involves two humans who are individuals with their uniqueness. My ex-husband used to tell me, “There are three sides to this story: yours, mine, and the truth.” I can only honestly give you one side: mine. Although, my ex probably has a colorful view too. The truth however, it lies somewhere else, a mixture of both stories with some parts and pieces of its own. Let’s get to my story.
