Olive oil, taste great and good for oil pulling

As of yet, I have not been paid by anyone to advertise their dental or hygiene products.  I am not opposed to it, but these are not paid advertisements.  They are things I use currently, excited about sharing and would love for you to try. I write about them because I genuinely love the products and hope you will too.

That being said, the other day on Christmas Eve, my brother came for a visit.  He was in the kitchen making cocktails and saw my olive oil that I use daily. He asked me about it and I told him, I order it in bulk and refill the glass container on my counter.  He said, "Calivirgin is owned by friend Mike and his family." I had no idea when I started using this oil, my brother was friends with Mike. I was merely given this oil as a gift from my realtor when my house sold.  I fell in love with the flavor.  I started ordering bulk so I could just refill my bottle. And, of course, to get the oil at a better price point. My brother quickly took a picture of the bottle and text messaged his friend, Mike.  Three days later I received an amazing bottle of fresh olive oil from Mike with a sweet note thanking me for using the oil and being a loyal customer. He also included a kitchen towel in the package. Are you kidding me? That was so thoughtful and giving! I wanted to share this story to let you know this is one of the best olive oils I have tasted and not to mention such a great company to do business with! If you haven't had the pleasure of tasting this oil, go to www.calivirgin.com and order some! You won't be disappointed.

So that brings up another dental option. Oil pulling simply put is swishing with oil in your mouth for fifteen to twenty minutes to improve oral health.  Oil pulling is not necessarily a new means of detoxification but has become more publicized in holistic medicine.  I will say this, I don't oil pull myself, but I do have many patients who have benefitted greatly from its effects. So, if you have gingivitis and need to get some control, why not try it? It can't harm you, but I can not concur that this is a means of curing gingival inflammation.  You can use many oils and olive oil is one of them!
